Under its rules, the ISU has regular elections to form the ISU Executive team.

Calls for nominations of interested ISU members into executive office positions are made prior to each election being held. ISU Executive elections are conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission.

The ISU rules declare the following executive officer positions:

  • Secretary
  • President
  • Assistant Secretary
  • Vice President and,
  • Treasurer

Once elected, the ISU’s Executive officers are tasked with leading and making strategic decisions for the union. Executive members are elected for a two year term of office.

During their term, elected ISU Executives work towards furthering members industrial objectives.

Following the completion of their term new elections take place. Elections provide an opportunity for continuity or change in the ISU leadership.

The current ISU Executive team comprises:

  • Secretary – Anthony Wright
  • President – Glenn Duncan
  • Assistant Secretary – Marko Petrovic
  • Vice President – Lisa Nelson, and,
  • Treasurer – Shay De Guara
